WHAT TO EXPECT
Here is what you can expect for your first visit.
It’s natural to feel nervous about your first visit, but rest assured, we go out of our way to make you feel welcome and relaxed.
The first visit typically consists of a thorough interview:
Your medical history is documented and an in-depth understanding of your concerns, symptoms, complaints, situation and work/exercise expectations are gathered.
If necessary, a physical examination may then be performed:
Your posture and breathing patterns are assessed and abdominal scar tissue may be palpitated. Your pelvic floor may then need to be physically examined. Information will be gathered on any existing prolapses and scar tissue. Muscular spasm trigger points will also be examined.
On occasion, a vaginal probe (Neurotrac EMG) is used to measure muscle contraction and relaxation.
